Holy Tuesday
There's a lot of activity happening on Tuesday of Holy Week. And still we journey on....

Matthew 12: 1-11
There’s a whole lot of killing for food
That never belonged to you to begin with.
The earth belongs to God.
God gave it to the living.
Greed stripped life.
Death everywhere.
Death to son,
Means death to life itself.
The villains are offended.
Granny taught us,
“When you throw a brick in a crowd,
Only one to holler is the one to be hit.”
Granny didn’t have to say the next part.
We see clearly.
The other ones hollerin’
Are the cohort of the greedy.
They rile in death too….
For everyone else.
Not them.
Never them.
They forgot.
Didn’t they hear the babies yesterday?
It never belonged to them to begin with.
The earth belongs to God.
Matthew 21: 20- 22, Mark 11: 20-23
Jesus seems so much like his daddy,
Like our ancestors
Like our elders
Like our folks n ‘nem.
Like purpose itself.
Don’t it make you make you mad
When you see who you love
Not living in their truth?
Imagine Creator
Creatin’ creation,
That chooses not to be creative.
You might have a few choice words too
Like ya folks,
And elders,
And ancestors
And Jesus
And Creator, Creator's Self
Mark 11: 24-25
If you believe it can happen
You’ right.
And, if ya gwan stand
Remember what Granny taught us.
“Don’t forget from whence you came.”
Too much to have to carry anyway.
Grudge just extra weight at this point.
Ain’t death and life enough?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall...
Reflecting ourselves through varied creative mediums.
